IT General Manager
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT and Information Systems strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that improve operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Establish short- and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Lead digital transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Oversee enterprise applications, ERP systems, MES, and business intelligence tools, and other core business applications.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system optimization.
- Establish and enforce system governance, documentation, and change management processes.
- Oversee infrastructure, networks, servers, cloud environments, and end-user support.
- Ensure system reliability, high availability, and performance across all IT services.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Manage hardware and software lifecycle management and standardization.
- Oversee hardware/software procurement and lifecycle management.
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity strategy, policies, and controls.
- Ensure compliance with Information security standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Conduct IT risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Oversee incident response planning and security awareness programs.
- Develop and manage IT departmental budgets and capital investment plans.
- Evaluate and negotiate vendor contracts and service agreements.
- Ensure cost-effective technology investments with measurable ROI.
- Manage relationships with external technology partners and service providers.
- Lead, Mentor, and develop IT and IS teams to ensure strong technical capability and service orientation.
- Establish clear performance goals, accountability, and professional development plans.
- Promote collaboration between IT, Operations, finance and other departments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-focused IT services.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing multiple technology functions or departments.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise systems (ERP), IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices, policies, and regulations
- In-depth understanding of programming, computer science, and digital security
- A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture
- Good communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Advanced leadership and conflict management skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Project management skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- 10+ years in IT, ERP (SAP S/4HANA is preferred), network, MES, security knowledge, and project management in manufacturing and hands-on experience.
- 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or another related field
- Experience in the maintenance of Server systems, Backup devices, Networks, and Wi-Fi
- Knowledge of general business flow
- Well-versed in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, SharePoint
- Ability to provide efficient and effective user support for office and production floor personnel.
- Experience and knowledge of SAP are highly desirable
- Working in both an office setting and the manufacturing production area, with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Moderate levels of walking, standing, bending, and lifting when performing job duties in the production area. Office setting requires sitting and use of a computer terminal.
